Caballo Rojo Ranch mares really made a great showing at the Gordyville Breeder’s Classic. Taking home over $23,000.00 in prize money between the three mares, Guaranteed By Amos was shown by her owner, Victoria Lambert and she was honored to take home the Reserve Championship in the Intermediate Non Pro.

Victoria Lambert held up her family’s winning tradition at Gordyville by placing Guaranteed By Amos (Primary Pine x Okies Paulette x Okie Paul Quixote) second in the Intermediate Non-Pro division with a score of 214.5. Originally trained by Pat Rogers, the 5-year-old mare was purchased by the Lamberts in 2007.

Victoria Lambert won several regional futurities and was a 2007 NRHA Futurity Non-Pro finalist. “Sam [Smith] took over her training in late 2008,” Lambert explained. “He did a spectacular job, not only getting her ready for me and giving me some insight on how to do a better job of showing her, but he also gave me a lot of confidence in myself.

I felt really prepared when I entered the arena. I had a rider bobble at the first stop, but was able to correct and improve the last two stops. I think what was most exciting for me was that instead of falling apart after a mistake I got better. I credit Sam for helping me get to a better place in my riding.”
