Victoria Lambert of Hempstead, Texas, rode Guaranteed By Amos, to the Intermediate Non Pro Championship. The pair won a check for $1,536 for their score of 214.5 in the Intermediate. Although Lambert has been involved in reining competition and has shown futurity horses in the past, this is her first year to win a futurity. And so far this year she has been very successful. She bought her horse from Pat Rogers during the Tulsa Classic Futurity. “I’m really grateful that Pat gave me the opportunity to purchase this horse,” she said. Lambert and Guaranteed By Amos competed at their first Futurity – the 4R Futurity, held in Katy, Texas – and won both the Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro. “I was so excited,” Lambert said after her win. “This horse has been so great, and I can’t wait to show her some more. We’ll be showing at the NRHA Futurity next month.” Lambert and Guaranteed By Amos placed third in the Non Pro division and also won the Houston Ranch Non Pro Mare Bonus. The bonus paid an additional $1,000 for the highest placing mare in the Non Pro Futurity. So all told this team took home from Ardmore a check for $4794.56, a Lawson Bronze and a trophy saddle.
