Ridden by Ben Gerst for Carl Lambert, Good Time Whiz Girl (Topsail Whiz x Good Time Show Girl x Hollywood Dun It) was second in the Limited Open division of both derbies, earning $1,751 in the Breeders Cup and $882 in the Open to the World. “She’s absolutely great-minded,” Gerst said. “She’s dead quiet and wants to stop all the time.”
The Lamberts purchased the mare from Steve Harris at the 2007 NRHA Prospect Sale in Oklahoma City. “We were very excited to buy a horse that Ben had started,” Victoria Lambert said.
Gerst had an edge: He rode this mare’s dam. “She was a great mare,” he said. “There are a lot of nice Dun It mares and she was one of the nicest I’ve ever ridden.”
